creating furniture and lighting for a night walk in Gulu-Mada country (blue mountains).

the peices will be generated using various data sets from the surrounding enviroment. We hope to bring the natural cycle of growth and decay into the world of computer aided design.

Inspired by the
branching system of trees in the Blue Mountains, this chair was grown in Grasshopper following natural evolution law. The branching structure allow minimum material while still keeps sufficient support.




Diverse but still harmonious. Everything seems to follow a certain evolutionary pattern that has been well planed and “designed”. so where does that leave industrial design?

What will organics look like under our hands?
(branching_chair) is an assumption that artefacts will be designed and made following the natural evolution rule.
